Many times our detractors defy us to show them what we consider as "good" webcomics. We already have a thread about it, and among all the others, it's likely the one least put attention into. And sometimes, we only get another applicant for a review.
My first thoughs are about avoiding it. I dare to say that many people here actually likes webcomics that could be considered bad for our standars. TheLuigiian (founder of the site. Retired) was a fan of D.C. Simpson's Ozzy & Millie. BTIssac (banned) did actually enjoyed The Wotch, until he got sick of its blatant stupidity. It's not common to see a couple of members vote in favor of a bad webcomic, but it happens. I could say for a time I enjoyed Menage a 3 until I couldn't stand Zii.
So, I consider we must avoid giving away information about our tastes in a more straight manner. Such as pointing directions, or giving names. I think that to a large degree, we're no diferent than people who likes Jack, and worship Ryan Sohmer. The slight difference that separate us from them is that we do critique things we don't agree wit, and are not afraid to say it out loud. No matter wether it belongs to a comic we like or not.
The matter is, lets avoid comparing bad shit with things we consider good stuff unless it is strictly technical. And for the mercy of Darwin, lets us not give recommendations on what we think is good.
