Misfile. It jumped the shark on page 28, or maybe even on page 16. The initial idea for the plot was relatively interesting, and it literally abandoned it from page 28 on with filler themes, which were mediocre at best, and in some cases terrible. Also, one full use of most themes in the comic was done by page 130. For the most part, those themes were simply repeated throughout over one thousand pages afterwards. Further, the comic eventually ran out of cliche "anime" faces. It turned to having essentially no coherent concepts for facial expressions whatsoever instead. Overall, it became a thoughtless mess.
I do not recall any long-running webcomics I have read that were truly good for a while and then jumped the shark. I would almost say Cool Cat Studios, but not quite. I felt the investigation, alien, and spirit subplots were all out of place. They pretty clearly were consummate improbabilities given the story prior to that point. They were all done well though, and ultimately tied together. I could forgive the iffiness.
