I work in a bookstore, so I know where this guy is trying to go. Unfortunately he fails miserably. This comic seems to be full of stuff that probably sound funny to this guy & maybe 2-3 of his co-workers, but it sucks mightily.
Hm…I see what you're saying here, there are a lot of in-jokes, and the main character is just so very unlikable, I would never read it…but I'm not sure it's bad enough to warrent an article. Some parts of it were actually funny, and by the cartoony style really seemed to suit it by the end.
I can honestly say I don't like it, but that doesn't make it terrible. For what it's doing, it's okay. At least it generally stays on topic, unlike some. (PVP anyone?)
I agree with reymath. It has good intentions and some are pretty funny, in the way that Clerks was awesome. But it doesn't keep my attention well enough.
You finished reading this sentence.
The first thing that comes to my attention is the fact that every single page is made in flash, even the navigation which is embedded inside the same .swf as the comic itself. That is just an awful way to set up a webcomic. Also the home page doesn't appear to be the most recent comic which is just stupid and then the way he has it archived makes it unnecessarily complicated to get to the comics.
The comics themselves aren't that bad.
