For me, this one is kind of a guilty pleasure. I kind of like it, but… damn, this thing has issues. Traumatic issues.
For example, the premise. A mint dragon (which is a dragon… made of solid mint, somehow) is looking for some relic that will stop people from licking him, because they will be licking the relic instead. That sounds kind of… weird, but then, you read the profile section, and find out that that dragon is 8 years old.
8 YEARS OLD.
PEOPLE have been licking an 8 year-old CHILD! I believe he should be looking for an anti-pedobear relic instead.
But worry not! The author suddenly hamfists a good vs. evil subplot of sorts, so the whole first premise is forgotten until its dramatically convenient to re-introduce it. Yay?
It has furries too! And they make no sense! Cat-anthropomorphic races that build planes? Why?
And yes, there are oversexualized catgirls. Imagine that!
Jokes are extremely over the top, kinda like the guy is at your side poking your ribs saying "that was fun!? Huh? Huh?" until you try a fake laugh, or just turn the page.
Buuut, as bad as I make it look like, it's not exactly that bad. The art gets progressively better as time goes by. It is an amateur's work, but hey, see the first page, and the last page, and you can see some progress. Some progress is good in my book. Then again, many other comics do get better at art yet I can't read them; maybe the fact that I have been reading this one from almost the very beginning has turned me soft on it.
And, uh, he has a profile page, as I said earlier which is both good and bad. Good, since he seems to show some effort unlike megatokyo other people, but, this page is cluttered with people I don't FUCKING care about! They have some drunk guy who just told them I want beer" in the Profile Section! What the hell? Oh yeah, RPGWorld called. They want their joke back, sir. Also… what the hell is up with the design of the page?
I guess, I mainly read it out of habit. I read it, shrug, and finish my lunch. And now, I see that I'm over the place, describing this comic; this is why I can't write a proper review.
So, is this comic bad, or is it just my imagination?
