I'm finishing Betters Days for good today, so I'll be out of material again. Since I just got the archives downloaded on The Wotch, this will be my next project. About time, too.
Are you still planning on doing this? Because I've read the entire archive, loathe the thing with the fury of a thousand suns and wrote an article on it last year that managed to get back to Anne, so I'd like to give it a shot here unless you've officially called dibs on it.
I'd say do it. Anyone could add to it.
Who's to say we can't have multiple author articles?
Sorry for the long abscence, guys. My life's been complicated these last 2 months, and my health went to shit a couple of times. But things are looking up now.
About the Wotch, I've read half of the archives up till now, perhaps I'll read a bit more tonight. This thing is DENSE. At least Dominic Deegan entertained me a little. Wotch is so ridiculousy boring and ridiculous period that you can¿t read more than a handful in each sitting. If anyone wants to start up a review already, go ahead. I'll add in when I'm done.
OK, I'm going to start up one tonight.
I think I'm finished with it. It's almost 5000 words long, but in my defense, it is The Wotch. There's a fucking PhD in the thing.
I hosted the images on my own server because I'm not an admin and can't upload to this one. I don't mind leaving them there, but someone might want to transfer them to the BWW server.
Excellent, this is exactly the sort of reasoned evisceration I like to see — and seeing the Wotch as its victim is even better. One question, I think I remember that you posted some reviews of Wotch storylines on your own site. Would those be worth adding as links?
I figured they'd be redundant because I covered the same ground in this one (also, I'm not entirely happy with the other ones I wrote, so this one is my third-time's-a-charm attempt at doing it "properly").
I don't think they're necessarily redundant, since on your blog you went in depth on specific storylines that didn't really touch on in your wiki piece. And when you're dealing with the Wotch, I don't think it's possible to hammer too much on just how repetitive the whole strip is. Then again, if you're not happy with those earlier pieces, that's fair enough.
Just sayin' I liked them, for whatever that's worth.
